Egosoft is the creator of X-Foundations an epic space sim game spanning galaxies. Allowing players to live out the fantasy of exploring the universe, meeting alien races, and working their way to control a part of the galaxy. A game studio this epic needs a intro animation to match and their previous animation from a decade ago just wasn't communicating the quality and scope of Egosoft's games.

Royals & Rogues understood the dilemma and build a new intro animation to communicate the scope and depth of their games quickly and impactfully without boring gamers waiting to get into their game.

Royals & Rogues started by exploring various directions paired with animated mood boards to clearly communicate the direction and style we might use. After choosing the best elements from each mood board we built our storyboard and it was off to the races.

In the end we created a intro animation that Egosoft can be proud of for years to come that captures the scope of their games, is exciting to watch, while maintaining a clean and clear look.
